As an elder law attorney, Jane C. Dell’s practice includes long-term care and asset protection planning, special needs and Veteran’s benefits, along with estate planning and estate administration, wills, trusts and real estate. Jane is also an accredited attorney with the Veteran’s Administration.

Brittany is an Associate in the Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling's Probate and Estate Planning Department. She has been practicing for over 5 years.
Brittany counsels clients of all ages to assure the clients intentions are clearly understood and carried out correctly. She understands that each family and their individual circumstances are unique and takes the time to understand each circumstance. Her goal is to provide the best advice from all different perspectives including tax, business, legal and long-term care options.
She effectively advises and administers probate estates for families, easing their stress during highly emotional times. She prepares Wills and advance directives including Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare, General Durable Powers of Attorney and Living Wills. When families are faced with the need to appoint a guardian for a loved one, Brittany assists the family throughout all guardianship proceedings in Probate Court.
While attending Ohio State University, Brittany also received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Moritz College of Law. In addition, she was a Note & Comment Editor for the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution.

Elizabeth Durnell-Maier, founder and owner of Durnell Maier Law, LLC, is a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation and the Ohio Bar Association.
Over the past decade of working in elder law, Elizabeth has assisted hundreds of families qualifying for government benefits they didn’t realize were available to them, along with preserving a portion of their assets at the same time. She has also helped hundreds in setting up the proper documentation to ensure that their loved ones didn’t have the hassle, publicity, or expense of probate before opening Durnell Maier Law.

Attorney Jonathon “JC” Elgin opened his law practice in 2017 in downtown Shelby, Ohio.
In 2018, he joined the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office, assigned to the civil division. In this prosecutor’s office, he represented Richland County’s 16 townships as well as various county offices in all variety of civil matters. He also represented the Richland County Treasurer in hundreds of tax foreclosures and as creditor in bankruptcy cases.
In 2021, Attorney Elgin returned to private practice full time, establishing the current practice in Ontario, Ohio. Since that time, we’ve helped clients in and around Richland County in probate, estate planning, tax, real estate and bankruptcy matters.
