Meg Pauken, Esq., is the founder Pauken Legal Services LLC.
Ms. Pauken draws on over 20 years of experience as a lawyer to provide wise and compassionate advice, unique to each client’s personal and family situation. Ms. Pauken started her career in a small firm, in general practice. Later she settled into family law, which included estate planning and probate, as well.
As a family law attorney, Ms. Pauken focused on a collaborative practice model, working with families to negotiate the best possible resolution in difficult circumstances. Over time, her practice has shifted to the planning aspect of representing families. Ms. Pauken helps her clients plan for the preservation and distribution of their assets, often through the use of trusts. She advises clients when a spouse or elderly family member is facing admission to a nursing home or long-term care facility, helping them navigate the often-confusing world of Medicaid eligibility and asset preservation.
Janet E. Pecquet, Esq., practices in the area of Elder Law, primarily focusing on planning for Medicaid eligibility. Having represented hundreds of consumers before the Medicaid Agency, she has provided help for individuals who are institutionalized in a nursing or assisted living facility, or that are living at home and seeking home and community-based care.
She also advises individuals and parents of children with special needs on estate planning and special needs trusts, as well as focuses on long-term care insurance and private insurance denials.
Ms. Pecquet received her Law Degree from Southwestern University in 1980, where she was a member of the Law Review. She also received her Bachelor of Arts from California State University at Long Beach.
She is a frequent speaker on Elder Law matters and participates in various community organizations involved in providing services to consumers who are aged and have special needs.
Her law firm, Burke & Pecquet, LLC, is an individual and family focused practice that provides Elder Law, Special Needs, and Estate Planning services to Southwest Ohio and the Cincinnati Area.
